Hidden North Devon

Northam Burrows, World War Two, Pebble Ridge, Skern, History

A place for all seasons

Northam Burrows is a truly wonderful place at anytime of the year. Each season has its own attractions. Activities abound, there really is something for everyone. As well as the History Trail, the Rangers arrange activities for children, such as nest box building and poetry trails. The beach, of course lends itself to numerous water sports and sand based games. Dog walkers are welcome as long as they are kept under control and on a lead when near the live stock, ponies and sheep freely graze the grassland.

In this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty you will find an abundance of wild life to observe and photograph. What better way to introduce your children to nature.
